About Me & My Radios |
About me: I have been buying, restoring, and selling
antiques for 60 years. My day job for 33 years was
illustration and graphic design for a U.S. Department of Energy
contractor. I love antique design and craftsmanship. I
like the history and methods of creating these beautiful objects. I
recently acquired a large collection of vintage radios from a
deceased friend's family. I am selling the radios "as is." I
prefer to keep the original finish on furniture and radios, if
possible, but I will let the customer decide about their
restoration. Many of my radios will be listed as "for display
or restoration." I have found that many people who buy vintage
and antique radios in my shop use them for display and to bring back
memories, rather than to listen to them. Most of my radios are in great vintage cosmetic condition. I have not done any electronic repairs. I will simply tell you if it works or not when the required power source is applied. Once a buyer agrees to purchase a radio, the buyer accepts all responsibility and liability for the safe use and operation of the radio. I will leave electronics restoration to the customer and experts. Many of the sellers on this site offer professional restoration. Payments: Payment in U.S. funds, using PayPal to my email address, money order, or personal check. I will wait for payments to clear before shipping. If you live in my home state of Tennessee, a 9.75% sales tax will be added to the sales price. Shipping: I will need your address to calculate shipping. Each radio will be packed for safe shipping in an appropriately sized cardboard box using large bubble wrap and Styrofoam peanuts. I have been shipping over 20 years with no problems. I ship only to the Continental United States. Shipping charges and insurance are in addition to the purchase price. After I receive an email from the buyer confirming the purchase and shipping price, and payment has cleared, I will ship the item and notify the purchaser. Returns: If the buyer for whatever reason wants to return the radio, the buyer must contact me within (7) days. If all attempts to resolve the issue cannot be made, the buyer, at their expense, may return the radio in as-sold condition, packaged the same way as received. It is my goal to make you happy with your purchase. Thank you for visiting Larry's Antique Attic. |
