THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This was a great find, a Delco "Chieftain" 32 volt radio. And the story is that it had been used by the crew in a railroad caboose back in the day. It was of course battery operated, but it has now been converted to AC power with a built-in power supply you can see in the back photo. That unit replaces the 32 volt battery. All of the electronics have been gone thru and upgraded with newer modern and longer lasting capacitors, all circuits have checked out and the tubes have also been tested and now this wonderful old radio can be enjoyed for many more years. Its reception is excellent and the cabinet which has been left mostly in its original condition is in good and solid shape too. 14-1/4"H x 11"W x 7"D.
