THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
I have not seen one of this model. Some years back I had the model 89, but this is a little different set-up. This very handsome model 89A is a nine-tube Super-Super-Heterodyne cathedral radio. It has been electronically restored and is now working perfectly, having had all of the older type paper, wax and foil capacitors replaced with new longer lasting types; also the older type electrolytics have been replaced as well. A brand new vintage style cloth covered power cord and new vintage style AC plug have been attached to it. All the tubes have been checked and I have replaced any of the weak or dead ones with new old stock or like new ones. The Tulip styled case has been nicely refinished, too. This very fine looking radio would be a great addition to anyone's radio collection or a wonderful conversation piece in any vintage setting. |
