Erla S51 Lowboy (1927)
(wood tube console radio)

Erla S51 Lowboy (1927)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

BC. This is quite the special set, The S51's are hard to find but this AC lowboy version is the only one of its kind I've seen or been able to find! This is an S51 with a matching Erla AC conversion using a custom version of the Sterling R81 ABC Battery eliminator. Fully restored and working, this two-dialer isn't that hard to operate and works very well for what's basically a battery set and has the original instructions with it and the original certificate of calibration as well. The cabinet has some fantastic burled walnut and has been restored to show the original contrasting shades and the original gold scroll work. Your wife can have that cute little cabinet she wanted for the living room but when the guys come over just flip down the front and open the lid to find the radio resting under the speaker horn and fire up what is about the oldest AC radio you'll ever see! Additional pictures on request. 39"H x 22"W x 17"D (Miss Chewy not included).
