RCA Aeriola Senior and Matching RCA AC Amplifier (1921)
(wood tube casket radio)

RCA Aeriola Senior and Matching RCA AC Amplifier (1921)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I am offering for sale this rare RCA Aeriola Senior and the hard to find matching RCA Model AC AF amplifier. The Aeriola Senior, a single tube regenerative receiver, was introduced in Dec. 1921. The two-stage AF amplifier was an accessory to the Aeriola Senior and is rarely seen. It can be used to drive a horn speaker or three sets of headphones! This radio was introduced shortly after KDKA (the first commercial broadcast station) went on the air. They are both in amazing original condition. You will be hard pressed to ever find a nicer pair. The three WD-11 tubes are included. I have tested the Aeriola Senior receiver and it works great, picking up stations very well all across the dial. I am also including the vintage (working) Cannon headphones as well. I have not tested the amplifier but feel confident it will perform equally as well. You may notice the strings around the tubes. They are used to pull them out with out pulling on the top of the tube. They were there from the prior owner. Don't you miss out on owning this outstanding, museum quality, historical radio. Please email me with any questions.
