Metrodyne Super 7 (1927)
(wood tube casket radio)

Metrodyne Super 7 (1927)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I am offering for sale this rare Metrodyne Super 7 and Metrodyne matching speaker. The unique and lavish design of the Metrodyne Super 7's front panel can be directly attributed to the discovery of King Tut's tomb in 1922. After that discovery, Egyptian architecture had an influence in style of many products such as radios, toasters, coffee pots etc., as well as in the architecture of houses and buildings. This radio represents a unique time in world history. The cabinet is in very nice original condition inside and out. The chassis is complete with tubes and in excellent condition. The tuning assembly and all controls are fully functional. The speaker is in very nice original condition as well. This is a very rare radio that is not often seen. I have never attempted to hook it up to batteries. It has been the focal point of my personal radio museum for many years. Please email me or call me with questions you may have. 26"W x 9"H x 9"D.
