Garod Neutrodyne V (1924)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Garod Neutrodyne V (1924)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

A quality radio from the all mahogany cabinet to the double reading Weston volt meter. It was advertised at $195.00 in 1924, making the set one of the more expensive table models from this period. The radio has a number of interesting features. It has a mahogany front panel instead of Bakelite. The large 5" dials look like a very early form of Beetle plastic. In addition the tube sockets look like Lucite. Both are unusual materials for this vintage radio. A homemade knitted sleeve was made to cover the original harness which appears in excellent condition. Included are four globe 01A's and one globe 71A that all test like new. Both transformers are good, but the set is otherwise untested and sold as is. 34-5/8"W x 13-3/4"H x 11-3/8"D.
