Philips 960AS Cathedral (1933)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Philips 960AS Cathedral (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Made in Czechoslovakia, this wonderful radio is a decorative marriage between wood and Bakelite. The grille cloth has been replaced, but it retains an excellent original finish that is hard to duplicate. These were designed to operate on 220V. It appears that an electronic restoration was started. I do not believe that the speaker and transformer are original to the set. Otherwise it seems to be all intact. I have not tested or serviced the radio so it is sold electronically as is. This is a rare find and a stunning example of European design ready to display and enjoy. 19-1/2"H x 15-1/2"W x 7"D.
