Gilfillan radios sold!

Gilfillan 5G8 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

Gilfillan 5G8 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Five tubes BCB (550-1700KHz) This five tube super het uses a pre-octal type tube line up. With a heavy power transformer and field coil speaker, the sound quality is suprising for a smaller set. The set is exceptionally sensitive and selective enough for some good BCB DXing. Nice back-lit stationized dialface has been repaired. Wood knobs, with a pull on/push off volume control switch. Electronically restored with new components. This set is very similar in circuit design and style to a Packard-Bell "Kompact." Original finish has been cleaned and retouched.
