Motorola 53X (1954)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Motorola 53X (1954)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Okay, I'll fess up... I was negligent. This Motorola has an incredibly gorgeous forest/Kelly green factory painted Bakelite case. My confession is: I accidentally put a small 2-1/2" crack on the right side rear near the top. To add insult to injury, while I repaired it reinforcing the small crack from the inside I got just a touch of JB Weld near the small now repaired crack. You can see it in the picture. What a klutz I am. Yes, I feel awful and that's why the great price! Act fast! It's been gone over electronically and plays really good! The five tubes are strong, too. In spite of my clumsiness this Motorola is still off the "Jim Dennis Scale of Beauty!" As you'd expect the chassis is real clean!
