Bendix 626C (1947)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Bendix 626C (1947)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Give me some men who are stout-hearted men, Who will fight, for the right they adore! Lyrics from an old movie (New Moon) and sung by Rudy Valle. Those lyrics remind me of this large, somewhat stout and handsome AM/SW brown Bakelite Bendix radio! Electronically reconditioned and aligned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors and all out of tolerance resistors were replaced. The six tubes are strong! It plays very well on AM and ditto with the SW gibberish. There is an external antenna connection, too! Notice the AM/SW band switch on the back bottom left. A Jim Dennis Scale of Beauty "Stout-hearted Special!" If you'd like additional pictures please let me know. 12-1/2"W x 8-1/2"H x 8"D.
