Motorola 56X1 (1941)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Motorola 56X1 (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Elias Ingraham, Ray Eames, Raymond Loewy...who are these guys you ask? Designers from cars, refrigerators, locomotives and, in some cases, radio cases from the forties. Great men and wonderful creative designers. In my opinion, however, and although I could not verify "who" designed this beautiful Motorola with its marbled brown Bakelite case is comparable to the works of the aforementioned geniuses! Electronically reconditioned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors and all out of tolerance resistors have all been replaced. The five tubes are in good shape with a new power cord added. A Jim Dennis Scale of Beauty 10+ "Avanti" Special! If you'd like additional pictures please let me know. 11"W x 8"H x 7"D.
