THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a rare and unique radio from Hitachi. It is the handsome TH-800 eight-transistor AM radio from Hitachi of Tokyo. This radio is chip and crack free. The black cabinet and large silver grille look fantastic together. It plays great with strong volume and clear sound on four common "AA" batteries that fit neatly into its cartridge. The unique feature of this radio is the auto tuning mechanism which is in proper working order. There is a key on the right side that you use to wind the tuner up (much like winding a clock), and that powers the auto tuner. It finds the stations for you. It has a switch on the back to help the tuner that can be set to either local, medium, or distant sensitivity. This is a powerful radio with 300 MW of output. Includes the original carrying case that shows wear. 8"W x 3-1/2"H. |
