Kennedy 42 "Coronet" (1931)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Kennedy 42 "Coronet" (1931)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This set is one that you rarely see, and has a very unique cabinet, with features of both cathedral style and tombstone style cabinets. This is a very sought after set and this one is as good as it gets. The cabinet still retains its original finish which still looks and displays very well. If they don't look good, I'll refinish it, but this set looks great. There is a small repair on the cabinet about the size of a pencil eraser and is perfectly round, but not very noticeable. The chassis is gorgeous, still has its big copper capacitor on the chassis which is always missing on these. The chassis is as clean as it was when it was new. This rare set has been electronically restored replacing all filter and paper caps, and a new period correct, cloth line cord replaced the old one. The speaker has been rewired and is very clean as well. This is TRF set and it picks up many stations on a good antenna, plays loud and clear. This set is as original as you will ever find, if you can even find one of these. This is a very high end set and will be a great addition to the best of collections. They are only original once. 17"H x 16-3/4"W x 10-1/2"D.
