THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Lafayette Radio was one of the prime players in the retail world of early radio. They combined a retail store profile and a terrific catalogue. I see many collectors searching for the catalogues at meets, as they are filled with information and pictures of the finest radios of that particular year. The company did not make their own radios, but had the biggest and best make them for the company and place the company name on them. This is one of those choice radios. This stunning tombstone is a great example. The radio is made of American walnut with fancy matched veneers on the face in an elaborate pattern. The radio had been well serviced for the very finest of output and enjoys the new filter caps, and the though restoration by my technician. Solid performance in a great looking cabinet. This is a great set to have in your collection! 19"H x 16"W x 11"D. |
