Air Castle 5001 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

Air Castle 5001 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a very scarce and beautiful radio. Contract radio makers made the Air Castle line for the famous Siegel and May Stern Stores. This fine radio has the super Silver Radio written all over it. The shape and features show all of the distinctive and unique qualities. Look at that big beautiful and well-lit dial. Marry the dial to a bright green tuning eye for the clearest and most accurate tuning. The maker, I believe was Silver, intended to add to the form by making the radio a soft shoulder, so as to set the radio apart from the more common rectangular styles. The radio has been completely restored and plays beautifully! 18"W x 10-3/4"H x 8"D.
