Grunow 700 Tombstone (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Grunow 700 Tombstone (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at a terrific example of the largest and most deluxe chrome front radio made by this factory. This Chicago based maker made some of the best-styled radios of the era and solid electronics too. This particular set is grand for a chrome front set; you can see this is a substantial set. Note the "skyscraper" architectural style and the fancy veneers and beading. The condition of this set is special, with all factory parts and factory finish. The condition of the chrome is tight, and the cabinet retains an almost piano type gloss. From a purest collector point of view, this is about as good as you will ever find. My technician as always has done a complete electronic restoration. This work includes all new filters and caps. The radio has had a complete restoration. His work was excellent and the radio is ready for the next few decades. He finished the radio with a new reproduction silk power cord and Bakelite plug, for your safe use. 18-1/2"H x 13-1/2"W x 10-1/2"D.
