THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Midwest Radio was a highly unusual company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. They did not sell through retailers or national chains, but exclusively by factory direct mail orders. They were highly regarded for fine sets, elaborate woodworking, and high tube count chassis. This radio is no exception, as for an early super-het, it uses eight tubes. This is the very first Midwest cathedral that I have ever seen and it is a beauty! The cabinet is in terrific shape and the set sings as the complete update from my technician. He has replaced all of the filters and caps. In addition, a few resistors and a complete alignment, plus a new power cord and plug for your safe use. Surely, the rarity and quality makes this a great addition to your collection! 16"H x 14"W x 10-1/2"D. |
