Case 710 Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Case 710 Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is one of the most beautiful and seldom seen crested tombstones from the height of the super-het era. Case Radio was a small high-end factory based in Marion, Indiana. They were in business for only a few years and made only about a dozen models in their short span. This particular model was the best of the models, with a seven tube chassis and offering three bands. The radio is a stunning example of artisanship, with exotic inlay patterns on an American walnut cabinet. This is one of the larger sized sets. Note the terrific dial, in the classic "watch-dial" look and the multi-colored screened enamel. My technician enjoyed the complete restoration of this beauty. He replaced all of the filters and caps, adding a fine reproduction silk power cord and Bakelite plug for your safe use. Every other component was tested and replaced, if not up to factory new standards. This is one powerful player, and with the huge dial, lit in a darker room, something to behold. 21"H x 16-1/2"W x 12"D.
