Acratone 134 Tombstone (1935)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Acratone 134 Tombstone (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Acratone was the house brand of the Federated Department Store buying group, based in New York City. They, like Montgomery Wards, Sears, Walgreens, and Spiegel, bought the radios for their respective companies, from most of the factories on a contract basis. Federated is still in business today, known as Macy's. This was a top of the line model from 1935. The quality is clearly apparent, with an ornate use of exotic veneers, and the artistry in the cabinetry. The radio is a high-powered eight-tube model, playing on three bands. This radio was clearly intended to be a deluxe model. Please look at the extra photos and the ornate dial, which lights beautifully. My technician has replaced the caps and filters and has done his usual complete restoration. Every component is tested or replaced to ensure your safe and problem free use. The radio was fitted with a fine replacement silk power cord and plug for your safe operation. 16-1/2"H x 13-3/4"W x 10-1/4"D.
