Philco 116B Tombstone (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Philco 116B Tombstone (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at the finest of Philco radios made and in the rarest of cabinet styles. The radio is a super eleven-tube super-het. This five band receiver is a very powerful radio with a tremendous level of sensitivity. The finish is original, with a small repair for a lifting veneer on the face, along with all of the original knobs and speaker cloth. The radio has a perfectly performing shadow meter which helps you fine tune the stations. Along with the radio, is the 74 year old original owners manual from the factory. Advanced collectors prize these sets and for very good reason. These are the best table top radios of the era, and this is the scarcest of the three cabinet styles. My tech has given this a restoration worthy of this great radio, plus a silk power cord for your safe operation and new plug. 22-1/4"H x 16-1/4"W x 13"D.
