Silver-Marshall "All World Five" (1935)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Silver-Marshall "All World Five" (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a beautiful example from the fabled Chicago Silver Marshall factory. The company was very short lived in production, but known in that short time as the best of the domestic makers. This is a beautiful example, with a fine factory finish, highlighted by a very detailed hand laded beading inlay. I believe the speaker cloth and knobs are also original to this set. Another embellishment is the classically carved "Greek key" wood base, something never seen in factory produced radios. The radio is a five-tube model, and a super-het. The radio plays on both broadcast and shortwave bands. My technician has done a very through repair of this radio, repairing the defective aged parts and all of those others prone to failure. He added a fine silk power cord and Bakelite plug for your safe operation. 14"H x 12-1/2" x 8-1/2"D.
