RCA 10T-1 Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

RCA 10T-1 Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is the largest and most powerful tombstone made by the technology leading RCA The monstrous cabinet houses a HUGE ten-tube chassis. I have tried for five years to source one of these, as they are renown for the sheer brute powerful playing with the most advanced selectivity of this era. I doubt they could build a better radio, with even today's technology. The set before you is all original, with a fantastic finish, factory speaker cloth and knobs. There are a couple of flea bites on the back edge, but they are very hard to see. The radio plays on three bands. My technician, with his 47 years of practice, has done an especially good repair. He and I often talk about the performance of a given set, as we process a lot of radios over a year's time. He is solely focused on the electronics, as I am on the cosmetics. We both agree, that along with the Philco 116B, this is the finest receiver we have ever processed. I can assure you, you will never buy a better cosmetic example and better piece of electronics. This is an extremely over-sized set at 20"H x 17-1/4"w x 14"D.
