Pacific 40MD1 (1939)
(wood tube table radio)

Pacific 40MD1 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Pacific Radio was a high-end factory located in California with offices in Chicago, Illinois. They were a major supplier of house brand radios, mostly to Montgomery Wards. They produced a complete line of models and were a strong exporter to the Pacific Rim countries. Since the vast majority of their radios were under others' labels, to have the radio with the Pacific tag is a real find. The radio is in extremely fine condition, with the factory original finish cabinet, and factory knobs. I replaced the speaker cloth with an exact reproduction cloth. The radio is a fantastic set; a huge 8-inch dial with is brightly lit, and powered by an eight tube multi-band chassis. My technician has done a fantastic repair, and the green tuning eye is brand new and highly sensitive to the tuning. He added a new power cord with plug, so you can enjoy listening to this radio. The size and impressive tube count make this radio a pleasure to enjoy. 22-1/4"W x 12-1/2"H x 10-1/2"D.
