RCA T-9-10 Tombstone (1938)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

RCA T-9-10 Tombstone (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is the second largest and most powerful tombstone made by the technology leading RCA. The monstrous cabinet houses a huge nine-tube chassis. I have tried for five years to source one of these, as they are renown for the sheer brute powerful playing with the most advanced selectivity of this era. I doubt they could build a better radio, with even today's technology. The set before you is professionally refinished, with a fantastic level of attention to the factory detail. The radio retains the factory speaker cloth and knobs. The radio plays on three bands and particularly well on shortwave. My technician, with his 47 years of practice, has done an especially good repair. He and I often talk about the performance of a given set, as we process a lot of radios over a year's time. We agree of the dynamic performance of these radios. He added a brand new green eye tube which winks with a great degree of sensitivity. He has added a fine silk/cotton power cord and new Bakelite plug as it had leaving the factory. I can assure you, you will never buy a better piece of electronics. This is an extremely over-sized set at 22"H x 16-1/2"W x 13"D.
