THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is one of the most distinctive cathedral radios ever made. The company made a series of repwood grille models, casting the ornate grille using the combination of wood and rubber. These grilles proved over the following decades to be extremely fragile, and few have survived in this fine condition. The radio retains a fine factory finish, with some aging to the sides. The radio retains all of the factory supplied parts, including the factory speaker cloth. The radio is a very early super-het, which was made before automatic volume control. So, the toggle switch on the back of the radios serves as a distant/local switch. Note the condition of the chassis, with full factory installed paperwork. My tech has repaired to the radio to play as good as new. He has given the radio the very attention that this blue chip set deserves, and added a fine reproduction silk power cord and Bakelite plug for your regular listening. 17-1/2"H x 14"W x 8"D. |
