Zenith 5-S-127 Tombstone (1937)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Zenith 5-S-127 Tombstone (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is one of the black dial radios that made Zenith famous. Fantastic players with a dramatic level of selectivity both on broadcast and shortwave bands. The five-tube super-her chassis was a classic example of fine engineering. The radio is all original, showing some element of finish loss due to age and 70+ years of service and wear. I debated if I should refinish the set, but decided it was plenty acceptable as is. Note the wood "Z" knobs. The speaker cloth is an accurate reproduction. My technician has done his usual though repairs to the radio and it is a super player. He has added a new power cord and plug for your safe operation. 18-1/2"H x 13-1/2"W x 10"D.
