(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Zenith 7-S-232AT "Waltons" Tombstone (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Considered one of the most collectable of all vintage radios and shown on the popular television program "The Waltons." These radios continue to appreciate in value, as they are scarce and offer a dramatic sound. You are looking at an excellent example of this blue-chip radio. The condition of the cabinet is a beautiful refinish, with accurate reproduction speaker cloth. One minor veneer repair on the back of the cabinet top as shown in picture #4. This is a very rare example of this radio, designed for the export market. Very few were made and even less reside in the States today. These varied from the domestic models with a black crinkle painted speaker and a tapped 110/240v transformer with the switch on the back left corner of the chassis. My tech has replaced all of the components required to update the radio and ensure that you enjoy problem free ownership. We replaced the dead eye tube with a super sensitive 6E5 eye tube. I doubt you will ever find a better example of this highly prized blue-chip radio, and you will be amazed by the performance. We added a mini-jack at no additional charge, as you will enjoy listening to this set! 23-1/4"H x 17-3/4"W x 13"D.
