Zenith 9-S-30 Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Zenith 9-S-30 Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at a seldom offered monstrous Zenith tombstone. In fact, it is only the second one of these jewels I have been able to source over my years on the "Attic." This nine-tube beast offers a five-band receiver, currently receiving AM/Shortwave. The condition is very nice in a cabinet refinished by the previous owner. The work is very good, and I can find only one hairline to the entire cabinet. The radio has all of the original knobs and the correct reproduction speaker cloth. These were very expensive sets in the era, and thus there were not many made. Their low production numbers make them a seldom seen and sold model. They are terrific radios with a dramatic sound from a "push pull" audio and an 8" speaker. With a new reproduction power cord and plug. Les has done his terrific repairs and added a mini-plug for your enjoyment. These large radios are the "listeners" of any collection. 22-1/2"H x 16-1/2"W x 12"D.
