Stromberg-Carlson 520-H (1941)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Stromberg-Carlson 520-H (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at a monstrous sized table radio with performance equal to its size. The company founded in the 1800s was the premier maker of scientific equipment and telephones. When radios grew in popularity, they morphed into a radio provider following the market for high quality electronics. This is a very nice condition and all original example! The finish is nice, with some wear; cabinet crafted with both hand laid beading and fret work and the radio retains all of the factory installed parts from 70+ years ago. Note the very complete back. The radio represents the finest electronics of the era, a powerhouse seven-tube receiver. The radio plays on both AM and Shortwave. Les has done his usual exacting and most thorough repairs. Note how perfect the Bakelite push buttons and escutcheon are! The radio has a super sensitive and brand new 6E5 eye tube which winks with great sensitivity with the selectivity of the radio. The radio performs as new and it is a heck of a fine sounding set with unusually superb selectivity. Les has added a mini-jack at no additional cost. This radio is for the most discriminating collector. 24"W x 13-1/4"H x 11"D.
