Silvertone 4465 Tombstone (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at the monstrous highly sought Silvertone tombstone. Often called the gold dial, this ornate and dramatically crafted cabinet and oversized seven inch detailed dial with a bright green tuning eye. This particular radio has been professionally refinished yet retaining the factory supplied speaker cloth and unique Tenite knobs. I thought the work stunning and accurate, and have wanted to have one of these radios for a very long time. The chassis is a deluxe and advanced super-het performing with great sensitivity with eight tubes. The super sensitive new green tuning eye winks as you dial between the stations. Les has done his extraordinary professional repairs and the radio performs as new. He has added a mini-jack to the circuits and this will allow your connection of any modern input device of your choice. With this modification, you can listen to AM and Shortwave broadcasts along with any content your device produces. This will allow you to fully enjoy the showpiece and fine sound quality this model offers. 22"H x 16"W x 12-1/2"D.
