Zenith 7-J-232 "Waltons" Tombstone (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Long considered as one of the most collectible of all of these old radios and displayed on the popular television program "The Waltons." These radios continue to appreciate in value, as they are scarce and offer a dramatic quality of sound. You are looking at an excellent example of this blue-chip radio. The condition of the cabinet is a beautiful refinish with careful attention to duplicating the original finishes. The speaker cloth is in excellent original condition and the knobs are as well. This is a scarce model as it was for battery use and AC as it became available in the upper Midwest. The performance is enhanced by an additional tube in the detector stage to give the range and selectivity a boost. The shutters are smooth as silk, and breakaway as you move from band to band. The radio is a three band model, receiving with great quality both AM and SW. Les has replaced all of the components required to update the radio and ensure that you enjoy problem free ownership. Les also added a mini-jack to this set, allowing you to connect any modern device and listen to unlimited choice of content. 23-1/4"H x 17-3/4"W x 13"D.
