THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at a scarce radio in terrific condition. Detrola Radio was based in Detroit and made many radios for Truetone (Western Auto) and other retailers including Walgreens. This model is a five-tube super-het chassis which plays on both AM and Shortwave. The radio sports a dramatic six inches wide multi-colored dial with the major clear channel stations detailed for easy selection. The radio also sports a tone control. The waterfall cabinet has been refinished by a prior collector with a high luster finish. The condition and quality of his work is outstanding. The speaker cloth looks to be a period correct reproduction and looks great. The knobs are factory originals. Les has done his professional repairs and returned this set to factory new performance. The radio is a early "All American Five" circuit offering the terrific reception qualities they were known for. Les added a mini-jack to the circuit for the option of adding any modern device for your unlimited choice of content. The use of a smart phone, pad or computer will dramatically increase your enjoyment of owning this radio. Bluetooth is available for $25! 17-3/4"W x 11"H x 8"D.
