THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is one of the wildly Deco tombstones made by S-W. These are some of the most decorative radios made. This model is a five tube early super-het offering both AM and Shortwave. As you can see the cabinet is as wild as they come with African mahogany, chevron with Birdseye maple in the center of the front. The balance of the cabinet is highly detailed and made of American walnut. The cabinet looks to be a highly professional refinish with the factory installed speaker cloth and skirted wood factory knobs. The radio has a black lacquer top in great condition. Les has completed his usual professional repairs and he radio plays in a dramatic fashion. These were expensive radios in the depths of the Depression and scarce due to the limited numbers produced. Les added a mini-jack so you an input your choice of modern device and enjoy an unlimited choice of content. His repairs included a fine reproduction silk/cotton power cord and Bakelite plug for your safe operation. 17-1/2"H x 14"W x 9-1/2"D.
