Case 715 Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Case 715 Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is one of the most ornate and unusual shouldered tombstones you will ever see. Made in Indiana, the cabinet with a couple of minor imperfections is extreme in construction. I believe the chassis was produced by Lofton White, another Indiana based factory known for the latest technology of the era and fine performance. This model is a super powerful nine-tube chassis playing on AM and Shortwave. One of the most dramatic additions is the absolutely huge dial which measures 8-1/2" across and covered by a domed glass cover. The speaker cloth is original with one minor weak spot and the knobs are wood with ornate copper insert rings. Note the watch dial dual dial pointer tuning, for the absolute accurate tuning in operation. Les has completed his professional repairs and the radio has been returned to the fine factory "like new" performance characteristic. He added a mini-jack for your connection of any modern device. You can use your phone, pad or computer to listen to your personal choice of content. This is a special radio and will be a serious listening model. This is a larger radio to support the high tube count chassis and measures 20"H x 16-1/2"W x 12"D.
