Zenith 712 "Challenger" Tombstone (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Zenith 712 "Challenger" Tombstone (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at a scarce model, which was one of a trio of Zenith tombstones with highly edgy form factors. The tapered sides with a fine hand laid beading on either column and a dramatic birds-eye maple arch over an American walnut cabinet make a stunning appearance. The radio has a fine factory finish with only on tiny sign of wear for the 85+ years of use. The radio is a good and advanced super-het playing on AM only off a six-tube chassis. The cabinet is original, with accurate replacement speaker cloth and factory installed wood knobs. Les has completed his professional repairs and the radio performs perfectly. Being a Zenith with fine engineering, you know it is a solid player. Les added a mini-jack to allow you to input any modern device or add $25 for a Bluetooth receiver to stream without the hassle of wire connection. Lastly Les added a fine reproduction cloth covered power cord and new Bakelite plug. 15"H x 14-1/4"W x 8-1/2"D.
