Imperial 6U-106 Tombstone by Triangle Industries (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Often referred to as "Fahrenheit," this is an unusual and rare set. The nickname comes from the thermometer in the middle of the back painted multi-colored dial which raises and lowers as you change the various bands. This company was based in Chicago and made quality radios for various catalogue retailers and a few choice radios under their own label. Contained within this highly detailed refinished cabinet is a sophisticated six-tube super-het playing on AM and Shortwave. The radio offers a brand new green tuning eye which winks as you change from station to station. The speaker cloth is a period correct pattern with the copper ringed six sided factory wood knobs. Les has completed his professional repairs and the radio is a terrific player. Les included a mini-jack to allow you to connect with any modern device or add the Bluetooth receiver for only $25. 17-1/4"H x 15-1/4"W x 10-1/2"D.
