Philco 21 Cathedral with Factory Stand (1930)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Philco 21 Cathedral with Factory Stand (1930)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The model 21 was first in a series with the classic cathedral design by Edward L. Combs. The set was released in March of 1931 before the models 70 and 90. By June of 1931 the model 21 was discontinued, which makes it much harder to find. This very original survivor is as good as it gets. The grille cloth is original along with the factory knobs. Included is the table also with original finish. The table was a $1.75 upgrade when sold in 1930 and is almost a never seen. The chassis is in excellent condition with Les performing his highly professional repairs. The radio is an earliest type, being a six tube "TRF" chassis. The radio as plays well as any TRF radio that was ever made. The radio is AM/Broadcast only. The radio sports a full range 8-inch speaker and with the preinstalled mini-jack, you can input any modern device. Listen to content of your choice and add a Bluetooth adapter for only $25! A great piece of preserved radio history. 41"H x 17"W x 11"D with stand.
