Stromberg-Carlson 130U Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Stromberg-Carlson 130U Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

A very interesting company that was run by engineers and often offered a dramatically different and superior product. This radio is a seven-tube super-het chassis offering both broadcast and shortwave. In a dramatically back lit glass multi-colored dial, the radio offers both macro and micro dual tuning. The radio cabinet is in factory original condition with a bit of touch up on the bottoms of both sides and a small fill on the top where there was a bit of shrinkage to the 82 year old veneer. You can see from my photos, these signs of wear have become nearly invisible. The speaker cloth is a period correct style and the unique wood knobs are original to the radio. My tech has done his highly professional repairs and the radio plays as dramatically as you would expect from such a fine receiver. Add to the circuit is a mini-jack allowing you to connect the radio to any modern device. Now you can listen to any content of choice from any modern device along with the original bands. Bluetooth is available for $25 additional! 20-1/2"H x 15-1/2"W x 12"D.
