RCA T8-18 Tombstone (1939)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

RCA T8-18 Tombstone (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I am extremely fond of most RCA products as they offer very advanced electronics and super reliable service. This less common model is an example of my thoughts offering macro/micro tuning with concentric controls and multiple stepped tone control. The radio is a full range broadcast/shortwave radio with terrific performance characteristics. The radio sports a super sensitive new bright green tuning eye to make the most accurate tuning of your favorite stations. The radio is an eight-tube model, super-het chassis which was the best technology of the time. The radio has been nicely refinished by a prior owner and the work is very good. The speaker cloth and knobs both are the factory installed ones from 80 years ago. I noted a faint marking on the dial from age, which after 80+ years is not uncommon. There are no reproductions available. My technician has done a complete repair and the radio plays like new. His professional repairs include a mini-jack to allow you to connect the radio to any modern device. This will allow you to choose your own content using your phone, pad or computer. Bluetooth is available for only $25 additional! 21-1/2"H x 16"W x 10-1/2"D.
