Tele-Tone Model Unknown (1935)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Tele-Tone Model Unknown (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Crafted to look like a formal floor model radio, this table top tombstone sized radio is quite special. The few radios styled as this set, often were called "child's consoles" as they replicated the large living room models of their parents. The radio is elaborately made of American walnut with decorative embellishments of birds-eye maple. Note the fine dental trims and turnings. The radio retains a fantastic factory finish with only a minimum amount of wear, mostly on the right side. The speaker cloth is original and the five-tube super-het chassis on a painted chassis is in quite nice condition. I have seen a few English and Australian radios modeled after console floor models. The English sets were made by Edison-Bell and the Australian models mostly by Astor Radio. All of my research... I could not find anywhere another example! My technician has completed his highly trained and licensed repairs, and the radio plays perfectly. His restoration includes our min-jack to allow your attachment to any modern device. Using this direct connect, you can listen to an unlimited amount of content. Add Bluetooth for only $25 additional! 19=1/2"H x 15-1/2"W x 11"D.
