Rogers Majestic TEN-51 (1935)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Rogers Majestic TEN-51 (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a nearly perfect example as it is a five-tube model with an advanced super-het chassis. Because of the impending war, the Canadian government for security reasons would not allow shortwave to be added. In fact if you owned a radio which received shortwave, you had to register it with the government and get a special license. This example is the second one of this cabinet, interestingly with a different chassis. The cabinet which is one of the most uniquely Deco styled models, is in factory condition, showing a bit of wear. The speaker cloth is original, and knobs are also original. The knobs were so unique; I decided to leave them on the set. My technician has an easy time in his total restorations as the radio was well cared for and of good factory construction. He has completely updated it and added a mini-jack for your direct connection to any modern device. Now you can choose to hear anything in addition to am – broadcast radio. Add a Bluetooth device for only $25.00 additional! 17"H x 13-1/4"W x 9-1/2"D.
