Stewart-Warner 3043 (1937)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Stewart-Warner 3043 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a very unusual and pretty rare restored radio. As you can see from the pictures it appears like a minature tombstone, only 12"H x 8"W. But, in reality, it can be placed in two other positions on either side. The Mahogany trim pieces on its sides act as buffers and the dial has slanted numbering allowing multviewing. Very unique. I did not show it in other positions but pictures are available if requested. It is all original including the highly polished solid wood back. The speaker cloth has been replaced with a reproduction. The dial is very attractive when lit and has a beautiful brass bezel. AM Reception is great using 5 tubes and a 5" speaker. This transformer powered radio has plenty of volume and great tone which is selectable with a chassis mounted switch on the rear. One very attractive and unique radio I think. Click on my Restoration Process for more information. 12"H x 8"W x 7"D.
