Philco 610 Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Philco 610 Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Shouldered tombstone with AM broadcast plus two shortwave bands. Dial has a lighted pointer indicating band selected. This radio plays loud and clear and has been completely recapped and restored and my guarantee applies. A word about my restoration process on these early Philcos: I take all the Bakelite capacitors and completely remove the old innards and "restuff" them with fresh caps. I always restuff the original metal can caps as well. This way the radio will play for many years to come on 21st century caps but will have the original appearance of a 30's set inside and out. The radio also picks up shortwave on both bands. New cloth cord with original Bakelite plug. All knobs are original Bakelite. Cabinet refinished with Mohawk walnut and mahogany stains, toner, and finished with 90 sheen lacquer. Grille cloth is new, shadows that appear in the picture are from the flash, they don't show in person. 24 pounds packed.
