THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Art Deco model is dubbed "the rabbit" by collectors. Use your imagination, and see a rabbit with the tuning knob as its button nose and its ears folded back nestled in the grass. See it? This is a very collectible radio made just after World War II, when America went from war production back to consumer production. There wasn't time to redesign and make new molds in order to get product to the market so they used a popular one from the late 30's. The "Art Deco" style had really been surpassed by the 40's but this particular design was really from that era. This radio plays loud and clear even without an external antenna. Completely restored and my guarantee applies. It has a new aquamarine paint job to accent the original ivory Plaskon knobs and pushbuttons. |
