THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This very rare Stromberg Carlson is a stunning radio; it would be very difficult to find a better example. It has been electronically and cosmetically restored, and works extremely well, covering the broadcast (550-1700 KC) band and two shortwave bands (1.5-3.4 MC & 6-18 MC). The piano-like finish is incredible; it is very smooth and looks just super; the wood grain is beautiful! It is a bit darker than shows in the pics as the camera flash lightened it up a little. All tubes were tested and weak ones replaced. It has new filter caps and most of the paper caps were replaced, a new power cord and new grill cloth. Chassis pics are available, just ask. Stromberg Carlson was a premier manufacturer, and this impressive and rare radio would be a great addition to any collection, especially a Stromberg Carlson collection! 15"W x 9"H x 9"D, shipping weight 20 pounds. |
