THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This example of the Crosley "Wigit" is about as nice as it gets, I'd say nearly Mint! It is a five-tube TRF receiver, housed in a "Repwood" cabinet that is free of cracks and chips. Uses a 45 for output, 80 for rectifier, and three 24A's for two-stage RF and detector. Crosley made several radio models in Repwood cabinets in the early 1930's, and they are highly prized by collectors. This one has been electrically restored and plays great with lots of stations across the Broadcast band (only). It requires a wire antenna. The cabinet displays wonderfully, as I've tried to show in the pictures. The Repwood label is intact in the left side of the cabinet. Only one other has been sold on the Radio Attic, so it must be a rare set! This is a radio you will be proud to own and display! 12"H x 12"W x 9"D. |
