Detrola 146 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

Detrola 146 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a fantastic looking and superb playing tabletop radio, rather rare, and ready for you to proudly display and listen to. It was made by Detrola Corporation of Detroit Michigan, which also made radios for other companies, most notably the Truetone brand for Western Auto. A six tube receiver, it covers the broadcast band (550-1650 KC) and has short-wave band coverage (in two bands) up to 16.5 MC. The cabinet was restored using the finest toning and clear lacquers, then hand rubbed to a beautiful finish. The electronics are restored and original except for some tubes and all the replaced capacitors and some resistors under the chassis. The chassis looks as nice as the cabinet; I take great pride in restoring the entire radio, not just what is normally seen. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer example; the cabinet has no patches, dial is excellent, original escutcheon in perfect condition, original speaker and knobs. Only the dial cover and grille cloth are reproduction. Many additional images are available, 30 day warranty applies. iPod® input can be added for $75. Weighs 16 pounds, 17-1/2"W x 11"H x 9"D.
