Silvertone radios sold!

Silvertone 4565 (1937)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Silvertone 4565 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This was part of the "Sears Golden Jubilee" series of radios with different sized gold dials and styles (this is the fourth one I have offered for sale). It has the largest and most impressive gold dial of the series at six inches diameter. It is a very large eight-tube, three-band radio with a "magic eye" tuning tube. It covers the AM broadcast band with short-wave coverage up to 18 MHz. Restoration of the cabinet with correct nitrocellulose lacquer was performed, and it displays great! Knobs are original, grille cloth is reproduction, tuning eye is new and bright, dial lights up brightly, and it includes the often missing wood back. Electronic restoration was performed, replacing capacitors, out of tolerance resistors, band alignment, and bad or marginal tubes. Aux input cable was added so you can plug in an iPod, CD player, etc. and play audio through the radio. Bluetooth receiver can be added for $25 (my cost) and you can stream your tunes from your phone, computer, etc. Chassis pics are available, 90 day warranty. Weighs 32 lbs, 21"W x 13"H x 11"D.
