THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Farnsworth radio has been electrically restored and repainted. There were no cracks in the cabinet, but it was chipped and scratched so I decided to repaint the body of the radio with a custom colored aircraft urethane paint. The blue grille is blue plastic and looks great, but it does have one small chip that can be seen in the photos. The radio plays nicely on AM and has AM/SW switch, but the coil on the shortwave is open therefore it won't work on shortwave. It was missing the original loop antenna but it has been substituted with a 10 foot line antenna and plays very good. The original clear Lucite knobs are another unusual feature of this radio. This beautiful and rare Farnsworth radio is priced including free shipping in the lower 48 states. |
